Rosi Hayes is an artist living and working in Salt Lake City, Utah, creating multi-disciplinary projects in sound, video, drawing and performance. Her work is concerned with collective and personal trauma, memory and forgetfulness and finding a formal process that engages the fractured and contrived nature of remembrance. She is interested in a reconstitution/construction of an almost-language from the pre-verbal cognition of obliterating experiences. She experiments with the concerns of memorialization, coloniality in the American west, theater, performance, storytelling, and the aesthetics of digital decay and display. She received her MFA at Parsons the New School for Design and her MEd at Bank Street College.
